It was my privilege to be the keynote speaker for the annual Convention of the Vancouver Island Conference of the British Columbia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada. The Convention met in beautiful Port Alberni from Friday, 12 October 2012, until Saturday, 13 October 2013, under the leadership of its Dean, Pastor Terry Richardson. The theme was 'Beyond Our Boundaries'.
The Conference enjoyed the hospitality of the shared Anglican-Lutheran congregation, Trinity Church, and its Pastor, George Pell, assisted by George's wife, Catherine Speechley-Pell.
