Today we celebrated a requiem eucharist for Nadine Wilkes-Smith of Holy Trinity Cathedral, the wife of Geoff Clement. Following the eucharist we processed to the Memorial Garden and buried a portion of her ashes. The remainder will be taken to Dundas, Ontario for a similar celebration at Saint James Anglican Church. There the remainder of Nadine's ashes will be buried with those of her first husband.
The Holy Trinity Choir sang with heart. The people of God prayed with depth and compassion. The gospel was shared with all. Jamie Sands, Nadine's younger son, read the first lesson and David, her older son, shared his mother's life and gifts with us. You can listen to my homily by clicking on the link below.
May Nadine rest in peace and may she rise in glory.
