We Are the Words God Speaks: Reflections on Proper 19B (9 August 2015)

Dear Friends,

I try to publish a written foundation for my sermon by Friday of each week.  This week seemed to carry me away.

My thoughts for the sermon turned around the word play in Ephesians 4.27:  'kind' (chrestos in Greek) and 'Christ' (Christos in Greek).  For the writer of Ephesians to be kind is to be Christ to one another.  This led me to think about language in its broadest meaning:  communication using sound, gesture and context.

Blessings to you all,

Richard+
