A Prayer for Liturgical Revisers

The following prayer was composed by Dr Kenneth Hull of the Liturgy Task Force of the Anglican Church of Canada after a lengthy session working on collects.

Irresistible God,

edit, we pray, the text of our souls;

clarify its semantic inaccuracies,

correct its grammatical confusions,

and prune the excesses of its garrulous verbosities,

so that we might become fascicles

fit for inclusion in your heavenly book of the redeemed;

in the name of God, Author, Publisher, and Reviser.

Amen.

Morning and Evening Prayer from Ascension to the Sunday after Trinity

Dear Friends,

I have just posted, in two formats, a draft Order for Morning and Evening from Ascension to the Sunday after Pentecost.  This is part of the on-going work of the Liturgy Task Force of the Anglican Church of Canada.  At this point this is just my draft and does carry any authority other than my own long-time work on the revision of the Office.
